Elon Musk has completed his $44bn takeover of Twitter. Musk, a self-styled “free speech absolutist”, has been a long time critic of Twitter’s management and moderation policies. On completion of the deal, he tweeted that “the bird is freed.” This announcement comes after months of legal wrangling and an attempt by Musk to withdraw from the deal. Continue reading
