Privacy and Media FreedomArticle 8 of the ECHR is the tottering mast upon which the banner of privacy now flutters. From  a legal standpoint, its scope is excruciatingly voluminous: the protection of the ‘right to respect for … private and family life, [and] … home’ plainly opens the door to an alarming range of activities.
