
The leader of the RMT Union, Bob Crow, has failed in a libel claim against London Mayor Boris Johnson relating to leaflets issued the 2012 London Mayoral campaign. In a judgment handed down on the day of the hearing Mr Justice Tugendhat held that, in “the context of a hotly contested election” the words could not be held to be defamatory ([2012] EWHC 1982 (QB)).
