Inforrm Joins Guardian Legal Network

Inforrm has today joined the new “Guardian Legal Network”  – logo for which now appears in the top right hand corner of the blog.   This is a new section of the Guardian’s website, designed to pioneer a new, interactive approach to law coverage (along similar lines to the extremely useful Guardian Environment Network).   The site began operating today and can be accessed by clicking on the logo.  The network is introduced by a post from Afua Hirsch on her Law Blog. It will include news, analysis and comment on the latest legal developments and features, such as:

• A blog from Afua Hirsch, the Guardian’s legal affairs correspondent

• Weekly blogs from legal commentators Joshua Rozenberg and Neil Rose.  Joshua has a post about the new Minister of Justice, Ken Clarke (which, among other things, reminds us of the remarkable fact that he began his career in government as a parliamentary private secretary to the Solicitor General in January 1971 – four months before George Osborne was born!)

• An online legal document store – an archive and resource of judgments, judicial speeches and reports

• A legal network that brings together the blogs and sites that cover legal affairs and developments from around the world.

Inforrm is one of seven blogs which feature on the site – UKSC Blog, ECHR Blog, Legal Action Group Blog, Human Rights In Ireland and UK Human Rights Blog.  We will, from time to time, post material from the network which is of interest to our readers.

We are very pleased to be part of this exciting new venture which should become a primary source for legal news, comment and analysis and we look forward to its rapid growth and development.
