In September and October this year, when the press was supposed to be on its best behaviour, the Press Complaints Commission (PCC) claims to have ‘resolved’ 72 complaints from the public.  The biggest culprit by a mile was the Mail newspaper group with 24 – one every two to three days on average, and an enormous one-third of the total.
