World Press Freedom Day: 3 May 2010

Tomorrow is “World Press Freedom Day”.  The 3 May was proclaimed World Press Freedom Day by the UN General Assembly in 1993 and each year the celebration of the day has a different theme.  This year UNESCO’s celebration of this day will highlight the importance of freedom of information as an integral part of freedom of expression and its contribution to democratic governance.
